   Joined: Aug 7, 2012 Messages: 16 Date Posted: Sep 24, 2012 #1 Advertisement So I am sure that Im not the only one that blows copious amounts of money at the slot machines (i.e. Sanctuary in Moxxi's Bar). However in all my joyous spending I have never once scored all 3 borderlands symbols. Is this even possible? Has anyone done it? If so then what do you get for it?? Ive gotten just about every other combo except for that. Marcus and the Moxxi leg being the best of course. Haha. Let me know what you guys have seen. I think that you can only get the borderlands symbols from killing a one arm bandit and using the slot machine on his back. On a related note, I found a table listing the program odds of winning at the slot machines. Triple eridium was (from memory, so this may not be quite correct) 0.23% and triple orange was 0.018%, both of which count for the Jackpot Sanctuary challenge. That means you'd have to play well over a thousand times to guarantee that at least 1 spin resulted in the jackpot. I probably manage 10-20 spins before I get bored in any one session, so it's no surprise that I have the Jackpot challenge on only one of my characters! So i found a strange Slot Machine glitch

I'm sorry for such a long story, i felt it'd be best to describe what happened as much as i could, has anyone else encountered this? Both me and my friend have thousands of hours on the game and have never seen this happen.

We're playing on Normal and with a friend, it's really not hard to not get killed, so we both had around 3k by the time we got to Sanctuary finally. We've also been doing every single side quest along the way.

Easy and early Eridium (max out your backpack ASAP!)

Once you reach Sanctuary (shortly after completing the Prologue), you can gamble on two slot machines at Mad Moxxi’s bar.

The further you are in the game, the more expensive it is to pull the levers. But the items you may randomly win also scale with your level. And it’s the Eridium you want early on, and if you used the cash or item duping tricks above to get a fat wallet, you can play the slots until your heart explodes.

The slots have three different Eridium payouts, and once you have enough, you can take them to the shady Black Market dealer a few steps away from Moxxi’s and upgrade your ammo capacity or backpack slots.

I highly recommend maxing out your backpack slots first, as this will allow you to carry much more loot. Nothing’s worse than finding lots of chests on a mission or killing a boss and not being able to pick anything up, even if you plan to sell it all (which you will — 95 percent of random drops are worse than your current inventory, in my experience).

For reference, I maxed my backpack before anything else while my friend did not, and I finished the game with a legitimate 0,000 and he only had ,000. That was all from selling loot I picked up while doing missions.

Black Market expansions get increasingly more expensive:

• Level 1: 4 Eridium

You need to have done the mine cart quest and you can nab 4 chests in 5 minutes. I've gotten some sweet gear and alot if crap, but you can easily make a couple mil in about 5 runs.

I have a certain way of doing it so I make roughly 0,000 every run. Caustic Caverns would be a decent loot run but there is always a risk of dying with the amount of enemies around (especially because I play solo) so I tend to steer clear of there. overlordlaharl134 Keep trying!! I still need to finish tallying the average ROI to get an exact number though. Just keep at it and it would be helpful if you post how much money it does take you. The quickest way to get money is probably farming the BNK3R...just make sure you have a lot of open backpack slots before you farm him. (10 or more open slots would be ideal)

   Joined: Aug 7, 2012 Messages: 16 Date Posted: Sep 24, 2012 #1 Advertisement So I am sure that Im not the only one that blows copious amounts of money at the slot machines (i.e. Sanctuary in Moxxi's Bar). However in all my joyous spending I have never once scored all 3 borderlands symbols. Is this even possible? Has anyone done it? If so then what do you get for it?? Ive gotten just about every other combo except for that. Marcus and the Moxxi leg being the best of course. Haha. Let me know what you guys have seen. I think that you can only get the borderlands symbols from killing a one arm bandit and using the slot machine on his back. On a related note, I found a table listing the program odds of winning at the slot machines. Triple eridium was (from memory, so this may not be quite correct) 0.23% and triple orange was 0.018%, both of which count for the Jackpot Sanctuary challenge. That means you'd have to play well over a thousand times to guarantee that at least 1 spin resulted in the jackpot. I probably manage 10-20 spins before I get bored in any one session, so it's no surprise that I have the Jackpot challenge on only one of my characters! So i found a strange Slot Machine glitch

I'm sorry for such a long story, i felt it'd be best to describe what happened as much as i could, has anyone else encountered this? Both me and my friend have thousands of hours on the game and have never seen this happen.

1. Either it's a glitch I never heard of (or it's a common glitch that I still have yet to hear about).

We're playing on Normal and with a friend, it's really not hard to not get killed, so we both had around 3k by the time we got to Sanctuary finally. We've also been doing every single side quest along the way.

Does anyone know what glitches or tricks that still work after all the patches? IE: gun merging, skill up glitch. Is there a list out there of things like that that are still valid?

Thanks, I've been watching a lot of videos and I've tried my hand at save editing which I think holds the most promise for me right now. Though I'm now looking for videos on that and guides on how to get the most out of it, like what's the $ limit, eridium limit and so on

Easy and early Eridium (max out your backpack ASAP!)

Once you reach Sanctuary (shortly after completing the Prologue), you can gamble on two slot machines at Mad Moxxi’s bar.

The further you are in the game, the more expensive it is to pull the levers. But the items you may randomly win also scale with your level. And it’s the Eridium you want early on, and if you used the cash or item duping tricks above to get a fat wallet, you can play the slots until your heart explodes.

The slots have three different Eridium payouts, and once you have enough, you can take them to the shady Black Market dealer a few steps away from Moxxi’s and upgrade your ammo capacity or backpack slots.

I highly recommend maxing out your backpack slots first, as this will allow you to carry much more loot. Nothing’s worse than finding lots of chests on a mission or killing a boss and not being able to pick anything up, even if you plan to sell it all (which you will — 95 percent of random drops are worse than your current inventory, in my experience).

For reference, I maxed my backpack before anything else while my friend did not, and I finished the game with a legitimate 0,000 and he only had ,000. That was all from selling loot I picked up while doing missions.

Black Market expansions get increasingly more expensive:

• Level 1: 4 Eridium
• Level 2: 8 Eridium
• Level 3: 12 Eridium
• Level 4: 16 Eridium
• Level MAX: 20 Eridium

BONUS: If you purchase 20 upgrades using Eridium, you’ll max out the “Whaddaya Buyin?” challenge for another 166 Badass Rank.

You need to have done the mine cart quest and you can nab 4 chests in 5 minutes. I've gotten some sweet gear and alot if crap, but you can easily make a couple mil in about 5 runs.

I've gotten some sweet gear and alot if crap, but you can easily make a couple mil in about 5 runs.My main source of making money is from the Gearys Unbreakable Gear quest, although it takes MUCH longer with the new patch because you can no longer use vehicles. I have a certain way of doing it so I make roughly 0,000 every run. Caustic Caverns would be a decent loot run but there is always a risk of dying with the amount of enemies around (especially because I play solo) so I tend to steer clear of there. overlordlaharl134 Keep trying!! I still need to finish tallying the average ROI to get an exact number though. Just keep at it and it would be helpful if you post how much money it does take you. The quickest way to get money is probably farming the BNK3R...just make sure you have a lot of open backpack slots before you farm him. (10 or more open slots would be ideal)
