Read Full DescriptionOne of the very few 'Hentai' games (Japanese adult titles) that I like, True Love is a Hentai adventure game with a difference.
You are a highschool boy looking for love and excitement. Your mission is to win the girls' hearts (naturally) before your last summer of freedom is over for good. True Love is not as good as Sentimental Graffiti, a popular Japanese dating sim that was never translated to English, but it comes quite close. Every day when you wake up you get a chance to decide what you want to do in the morning, afternoon and night. What you decide to do (pleasure, sports, study and so on) raises your skill in that category. Naturally, different girls in the game are attracted to different kind of man, and your quest to charm them will not succeed if your skill in the category they like is not high enough.
One of the funnest aspects of the game lies in figuring out which skill each woman is attracted to, and try to please them accordingly. When you charm them enough, the girls will be more than willing to get in bed with you. This is, of course, where you get to see the infamous Hentai scenes, although I think they are not as explicit or flagrant as newer Hentai titles. Various actions also have different effects on different skills. For example, drinking will increase your bravery, but diminishes your judgment. The girls you will meet in the game are quite well realized; they are not sex-starved girls with paper-thin personalities that are common in most Hentai games. They have their interests, goals, and are dignified enough to deny frontal sexual advances.
Overall, I find True Love to be a fun Hentai title that is much more than a 'game' than most Hentai releases (which are really just collection of anime porn pictures, tied together with a shallow plot). With many girls to impress and options to choose, the game's replayability is high. Highly recommended to Hentai fans and anyone who's interested in Japanese (teen) culture in general.

Raise stats:

Raising your statistics might take forever and you will most likely never
manage to max out every stat without cheating as described above. However,
if you don't wish to cheat, you can take advantage of the divine forces
that appear in the game. Basically, each activity has a patron God. For
example, if you study every day, the God of Intelligence will pay you a
visit and bless you (which means an increase in Intelligence).
The same can be done with every other skill.
Also, the mightiest God of them all (which increases all your stats) shows
up if you relax in your room and he seems to be the best option.
Please note: These gods only visit you once per game, so it is best to
summon them early in order to gain an advantage.

Raising your statistics may seem forever at first, but thankfully there
are divine forces at work in this game. Basically, for every activity has
a patron god. For example, if you study dilligently every day, every
opportunity, the God of Intelligence will pay you a visit and grant you his
blessing. His blessing of course will raise the mentioned stats (studies),
as the other gods. But the greatest god of all, will surprisingly show up
if you laze around in your room (relax). He will raise ALL your stats to
a certain level. Oh, these gods only visit you once per game. So its best
to 'summon' them early in the game.

Hey, anyone know where to get the game editor for this? I don't have my copy anymore but I seem to remember having a copy that also had something that you could open and use to edit your stats and the CG to max. The copy I had also didn't have Alisa as a potential character you could romance nor the cat girl, so it was necessary to have it if you wanted to go their routes.

This game is annoying as hell to play, upside is even if you are running Windows 8 you don't need an emulator.
